An angel sitting on a crescent moon, made by Kenyan artisans from banana fiber and sisal. She's about 6" tall with a hanging loop, and the natural fibers give her a warm, tortoiseshell-like tone.
Banana fiber is what's left after the harvest, so this is a good use of something that would otherwise be tossed. Hang her on the tree, give her a permanent spot by a window, or tuck her into a gift for the friend who collects angels and won't quite admit it.
