The Rose of Jericho, also called the resurrection plant, spends its dormant life curled into a tight brown ball. Set it in a shallow dish of water and over the next day or so it slowly unfurls and greens. Let it dry and it closes up again, ready to wake another time.
It's a real living plant, not a dried flower, so each one varies in shape and size. Care directions are included so you can keep it going for years. Many families keep one in the home and pass it down for generations.
It has long stood as a symbol of rebirth, persistence and lasting love: a reminder that we make it through difficult seasons. Wake it at the turn of the year, at Samhain or New Year's, or give one to someone you hope keeps coming back.
